What the bees taught me

My people kept bees.

I think about that a lot: how you can’t rush a hive. You can’t yell at the honey to hurry up. You tend the conditions, you respect the cycles, and the sweetness arrives when it’s ready.

We treat ourselves like machines. Produce more, feel less, optimize everything. And then we’re shocked when our inner life goes quiet.

But you’re not a machine, mami. You’re a hive. You’re an ecosystem. You have seasons.

Some seasons are for blooming loud. Some are for going inward and making honey nobody sees yet.

If you’re in a quiet season right now: nothing is wrong with you. Something is being made.
